
Eurasia Regional Health Care in Danger Meeting

The Eurasia Regional Health Care in Danger Meeting is the first of its kind in Eurasia and is being co-organized by the International Committee of the Red Cross along with five partner National Societies from the region, the Belgian Red Cross, German Red Cross, the Italian Red Cross, the Red Crescent Society of Kyrgyzstan and the Norwegian Red Cross.
The meeting will be held online on 3-4 February and be public, but registration based. An agenda for the meeting is available on the page and will be updated regularly. We will be adding further information to the site progressively.
The meeting brings together health practitioners, researchers and academics, policy makers and those working in the humanitarian sector and its purpose is to share experiences and reinforce local, national and regional partnerships to prevent and reduce the impact of violence against health care. Speakers will offer insights into a range of topics including practical measures being taken to enhance safety and security in healthcare facilities, legal and policy measures as well as examine the impact of the COVID19 pandemic on health workers and its implication in terms of violence to name a few. Those participating will also have an opportunity to engage with the speakers in the sessions.
